The study is majorly aimed at evaluating and analysing the most recent three years (1st January 2012 to 31st December 2014) business and financial performance of May & Baker Nigeria Plc. The results will be compared with that of a competitor (Glaxo Smithkline Consumer Nigeria Plc) in order to make informed decisions on the status of the company.

Besides, the specific objectives to achieve are:

a)    To evaluate the political, environmental and economic factors affecting the financial performance of the pharmaceutical industry in Nigeria.

b)    To carry out an analytical review of the last three years financial statements of May & Baker Nigeria Plc starting from 1st January 2012 to 31st December 2014 in order to determine the success level of its performance and give recommendations on areas that require improvement.

c)    To provide valuable information to analysts and investors which will assist them in making informed investment decisions with respect to the pharmaceutical industry.
